WELCOME

Forelsket Norwegian Forest Cats have been breeding and showing cats in Victoria since 2017.

With carefully selected imported European lines, thanks to my wonderful Australian Wegie mentors, we are producing some magnificent temperaments, colours and type in our breeding program for the NFO breed standards.

Registered breeder with Feline Control Council Victoria 8817 and registered breeder on Pet Exchange Registry RB100243

Our motto: Everyone should be so lucky to have a Norwegian Forest Cat.

The Norwegian Forest Cat is quite a new breed is Australia, but has roamed the forests of Norway for centuries.

The Viking cat as it is famously known has explored the seas and land with Vikings keeping mice and other vermin from precious grains.

They also feature in Norwegian Fairy Tales and Mythology as cats that could disappear at will.

This breed was close to extinction until Carl-Fredrik Nordane organised a breed club to preserve the Forest Cat.

The Norwegian Forest Cat is slow maturing breed taking up to 5 years to reach full size. They are very muscular and are reported to be the only domestic cat to be capable of climbing down a tree head first.

The Norwegian Forest Cat in full coat is a sight to behold. their double coat of soft undercoat and water resistant top coat, and their mane can be magnificent. They have toe tufts to protect their feet from ice and snow and a tail long and thick to wrap around their body for warmth.

They have a triangular head with almond shaped eyes coloured from green to gold, glow with an alert expression, and a straight nose profile from forehead to chin.

Norwegian Forest Cats have a bird like chirp they use to communicate with each other which is a delight to hear.

They enjoy being with people and are very intelligent and curious cats.

A high climbing tree is a must for the energy and climbing skills of the Norwegian Forest Cat.
